Paving Foreman – Year around (TFG175)

O’Hanlon Paving is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Paving Foreman to work in a full-time capacity, in various locations throughout Edmonton.


  • Lead and supervise 4-6 individuals in the paving crew
  • Operate various kinds of Paving Equipment such as Paver and Screed
  • Under the supervision of Superintendent, completes all paving activities on company projects
  • Complete all required paperwork on a daily basis
  • Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times
  • Provide effective leadership and training to the paving crew
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Minimum 7 years of experience running a Paver or Screed
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in road construction industry
  • Through knowledge of the safe operation of the equipment and municipal road building industry
  • Prior experience and knowledge of paving process will be an asset
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience will be required
  • Must possess a valid class 5 driver’s license or above with a clean drivers abstract
  • Ability to work continuously for prolonged periods of time under pressure
  • High attention to detail, strong communication skills and ability to follow directions
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently with little supervision
  • Willingness and ability to work extended hours and weekends
  • Valid safety certifications

Additional Information:

  • This is a year around position
  • Candidates must be open to long working hours in the summer time
  • Some travel outside of Edmonton may be required
  • Training will be provided for various activities
